CLOSE PROTECTION

Close Protection is only carried out by RAF Police and RMP personnel. The Close Protection teams are responsible for the personal security (bodyguarding) of senior Officers, dignitaries and VIPs world wide. As well as the specialist security procedures they train for, they also specialise in different weapon systems to the majority of the Armed Forces and also train in specialised driving techniques. TPW currently has two CP teams consisting of seven men each; Their skill and professionalism mean they are involved in high profile jobs, and all major UK operations around the world.
